Confartigianato

Confartigianato is a non-political, autonomous organization founded on the principle of voluntary membership and open to all Italian handicraft proprietors and small enterprises without geographic or cultural limitations. Established in 1946, Confartigianato today represents more than 521.000 enterprises and entrepreneurs spanning 870 different sectors of activity.

Confartigianato's objective is to strengthen the negotiating power of those organizations that do not otherwise have a voice. In fact, it serves as an independent negotiator for the Italian handicrafts and small enterprises, representing their common interests. For example, Confartigianato negotiates contracts aimed at regulating relations between owners and employees in the handicraft sector, with approximately 20 national collective work contracts in the business, trade, and service categories. Confartigianato has offices dedicated to the internationalization of handicraft enterprises and the promotion of community relations. It is headquartered in Brussels, and has an office at the European Economic and Social Committee.

Confartigianato has taken an active role in the promotion of ADR for several years now. Due to the strong interest on the subject shown by the many enterprises and Confartigianato Associations, Confartigianato has organized numerous meetings and seminars with the participation of Government representatives.
