Morocco (Casablanca)
The workshop for jurists from the Maghreb region—Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia—was held in Casablanca on December 8-9, 2005. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Sophie Henry, CMAP Secretary General and Consortium representative, who joined Giuseppe De Palo, Project ADR Expert current Team Leader and ADR Center President, and former Team Leader Gilles Blanchi. Thirty-four attendees participated.
The program was divided into three sessions. The first session focused on mediation, and covered, among other things, the rules and operational methods of CMAP (Centre de Médiation et d'Arbitrage de Paris). The second session was dedicated to the general methodology of alternative dispute resolution, and included a presentation on conflict prevention and conflict management. Finally, the third session highlighted salient issues on the subject of arbitration.
