Targeted Results

The project activities should:

• Increase awareness of the existence and usefulness of arbitration and mediation among both jurists and businessmen;
• Build capacity specifically vis-à-vis Arbitration Chambers, Trade Promotion Agencies, Chambers of Commerce, jurists, lawyers, and Magistrates Associations;
• Enhance effective functioning of the local legal enforcement systems by complementing the judiciary with alternative systems to prevent and manage disputes;
• Formulate recommendations and practical measures to facilitate the use of alternative systems to prevent and manage disputes, such as arbitration and mediation;
• Promote sustainability by ensuring full involvement of local organizations in the project from the inception phase. A sustainability plan will be designed to support the feasibility of the project's results and sustainability.
