The workshop for jurists from Israel and Turkey was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on November 28-29, 2005. The workshop reviewed alternative dispute resolution methods for the legal community. Thirty-nine prominent Turkish lawyers and judges were in attendance.

An advanced, three-day Training for International Commercial Mediators and Arbitrators was held in Istanbul, Turkey on September 26-29, 2006. The course welcomed 22 Israeli and Turkish business lawyers.

Country Legal Experts in Turkey

A team of Turkish Country Legal Experts was selected to assist in the implementation of the project. These experts are junior lawyers who have contributed to the creation of the Turkey Country Chapter and provide ongoing assistance in the organization and promotion of workshops and trainings.

Turkey Country Chapter

The Turkish Country Legal Experts researched the state of arbitration and mediation in Turkey. As a result of their research, they have composed a report outlining their findings.

ADR Providers in Turkey

A key project activity is the establishment of an EU-MEDA network of ADR providers. The goal of this network is to promote the exchange of information and cooperation among these centers in the 27 EU countries and the 10 MEDA countries.
